Insulin resistance (IR) is internationally recognized as the key in the incidence of type 2 diabetes, but also the common pathological basis of the high blood pressure, high cholesterol and other diseases. Therefore, it is a research hotspot to find the effective drug in improving IR. Recently, many studies showed that flavonoids could hypoglycemic, antihyperlipidemics and improve IR. The IR mechanism is complex, up to the present its molecular mechanism has not yet been fully elucidated. In recent years, more and more research showed that the chronic inflammation is associated with IR, and it is also the reason of IR. A preliminary study of our Institute showed that the total flavonoids of Oxytropis Falcate Bunge have anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antioxidant pharmacological effects, but not yet carried out in the IR as flavonoids. Therefore, this project intends to use KK-Ay mice which is an internationally recognized IR animal models, as well as 3T3-Ll cell which is the IR cell model, combining inflammatory signaling pathway and insulin signaling pathways, using modern molecular biology experimental techniques, from the overall level and cellular level to explore the effect targets and molecular mechanisms of the total flavonoids of Oxytropis Falcate Bunge on IR mediated by inflammation. And this study results will provide a scientific basis for its clinical application, and also provide new ideas and new methods for medical prevention and control in the motherland IR.
